Here is a summary of all of the key dates and relevant deadlines for people interested in the African Leadership Institute Tutu Leadership Programme. Please check back to this page as it is updated when necessary.
The dates for the Class of 2025 are below. Note that dates may change. It is strongly recommended that you subscribe should you wish to receive notification emails from AFLI regarding when nominations open.
For the Class of 2025

| Nominations close | 6 September 2024 |
| Pre-application phase screening of nominees | Approximately one week to 10 days, depending on nomination numbers |
| Candidates are granted access to the site for the application process | On or around 19-21 September 2024 |
| Deadline for candidates to submit a completed application | 9 October 2024 at Midnight Johannesburg, South Africa time. |
| Deadline for Letters of Recommendation by Referees | 9 October 2024 at Midnight Johannesburg, South Africa time. |
| Selection process begins | Mid-October 2024 |
| Finalisation by selectors of the Class | Mid January 2025 |
| Communication with final candidates | Invitation emails sent to Associates and Reserves early February 2025 |
| Status of all applications | All candidates will have received a status email by the time invitation emails are distributed, most will be sent in November 2024. |
| Announcement of the Class of 2025 | Sometime prior to the first workshop, typically in March or April. |
| First Workshop of the Programme | 3-11 May 2025 |
