I was nominated previously - do I need to be nominated again?

For individuals who were nominated previously for a previous cohort of the Tutu Leadership Programme and who were not selected, you need to be nominated again to obtain access to the site to be able to complete an application for consideration.

Everyone who was nominated but not selected, but who wishes to be considered once again, must be nominated again.  Note that with only 18-20 slots available and hundreds of nominations and applications annually, competition is fierce and the vast majority of applicants aren't selected. Contact your nominator and ask them to re-submit a nomination for you during the window for nominations.

About This Site

The flagship programme of the African Leadership Institute is the Archbishop Tutu Leadership Fellowship Programme. Each year, around 25 high-potential individuals from across Africa are awarded the prestigious Archbishop Tutu Fellowship, following a rigorous competitive selection process. The Awards are aimed at the cream of the continent’s future leaders and specifically target the next generation of Africa’s leaders in all sectors of society, between the ages of 30 and 40. This site is for the nominations, candidate applications, and selection of future Fellows.
